A Day In The Life
What a beautiful day it was today. When I got up this morning I struggled a bit as usual to get my mind set for the day. As I'm getting ready for my day of nursing on the road, (a visiting nurse) I was thinking things like “uhg, it’s time to get up and I have an admission to do first thing this morning.” I don’t like to do those visits first thing in the morning because they take more time and feels like it makes the day longer some how.
Anyway, I decided to reset my mind set by listening to a guided meditation by Deepak Chopra. It was so calming and just what I needed to start my day. Great, I’m ready to go,… I went downstairs to start preparing my breakfast along with everything I will need for the day and I'm feeling back in that slump again. Yeah, the one I felt when I opened my eyes this morning.
I was thinking to myself ‘Man, I can’t be left alone with myself. The way I talk to myself is just…..Not nice. Holy crap.” So I decided to turn on a podcast to redirect my focus. It worked. Now I'm getting ready for work and getting excited about creating. I was really enjoying listening to the podcast.
The funny thing is, the podcast I was listening to was discussing how to shift mindset and refocus on what we want. This is how people work toward achieving their success. So it was really refreshing listening to two people who are quite successful in their entrepreneurial ventures, talk about how they too get nervous and feel uncomfortable in new situations. They have learned to get comfortable with the uncomfortable feeling that occurs when working on something new.
The part of the podcast I found especially intriguing was the discussion of creating B- work. Letting go of perfectionism. The thing is, B- work can still inspire and help someone. Most people don’t care about your spelling and grammar missed takes. The people who do care, can very well still be interested and get something out of the work you’ve created. The point being , it is better to create B- work and help someone, than to spend a ridiculous number of hours perfecting your works which in the end will likely never feel like it is good enough. That is the plague a perfectionist endures.
The overall take away, is to just do the work and avoid worrying if it is perfect. Get creating and put it out there because the world needs you! The world needs what you have to offer, Your talents, Your expertise. The world Needs you, because you are the only one like you. You are One of a kind. So get creating and share your perfect imperfections.

I’m a wife and mom who loves her family. But, sometimes, after a “bad day” or dealing with some intense trauma, I was triggered and brought it home to my kids and spouse. It wasn’t working.
At the height of my burnout, I went looking for solutions. Anything to make me feel better again. To love my career again. To reignite my passion again.
I found evolved NLP. The combination of science meets spiritual resonated with me. The work is founded in practices of forgiveness and healing on a cellular level for lasting true change.
To rebound, rebuild, and repair from days of trauma, disease, and stress.
To reclaim our passion to serve.
To love our career and our lives - at the same time.
These tools gave me my life back.
They can do the same for you.
